Peter Noursi , P.E., President, Resume in PDF Format

Mr. Noursi joined Oyster, Imus, Petzold, in 2007 after working for 20 years with the M-NCPPC Department of Parks in Montgomery County, Maryland. With the Department of Parks, Peter held positions of increasing responsibility, that included planning, design and construction of parks, as well as managing the engineering unit that over saw Park Development. Among his duties he reviewed designs by staff, and outside consultants, developed standard details for use in Park construction, and assisted in the automation of the design process for the Division.

Peter has extensive civil engineering experience in storm drainage design, hydraulics, field construction, play grounds and recreational areas, hiker-biker trails, parking lots, stream bank protection, stream restoration, and storm water management.

Peter has a thorough working knowledge of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), and is conversant in both AutoCad and Microstation. New projects initiated by OIP can now be completed in a 100% digital format.

Walter J. Petzold , P.E., Chief Engineer, Resume in PDF Format

Mr. Petzold has worked with developers and government agencies in the Suburban Maryland and Washington, D.C. area for nearly fifty years. He has a profound understanding of the development of the region in general, and the limits and possibilities for the development of older outlots, and smaller parcels in the built up areas of the county.

Walt has extensive civil engineer experience in roadway design, hydraulics, storm water management, sewer and water lines, bridges, retaining walls, and subdivision development. Walter joined Oyster, Imus & Associates, Inc. in 1968 as Chief Engineer. In that position he has completed numerous projects in suburban Maryland and the DC area. Walter was president of Oyster, Imus & Petzold, Inc. from 1991 to 2007.

Walter Petzold is a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is also active in local community affairs having served as president of the Wheaton-Kensington Chamber of Commerce and of the Wheaton Kiwanis Club as well as several terms as vice-president of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Wheaton Kiwanis Club, Mid-County United Ministries and Bauer Housing Corporation.

Prior to working at Oyster, Imus, Petzold, Walt served three years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, and he worked as a project engineer with the City of Alameda, California, as traffic engineer with the D. C. Department of Transportation and Traffic, and as supervising engineer with the Montgomery County Department of Public Works.
